Coach & Leadership Summit

Virtual Zoom Leaders Summit.
League Staff, Team Directors, All Coaches, Parents and Student Athletes are invited to attend! Saturday Summit topics will include:

  •  Introduction to NICA and Missouri League Updates
  • Working with the NICA Student Athlete- Coach Licensing Levels and Registration
  • Coach Licensing Levels and Registration
  • Risk Management and NICA Safety Reporting Review

Sunday July 12th: 8am – 4:30pm

In-person Leaders Summit.
Columbia, MO
League Staff, Team Directors, Head Coaches and one Assistant Coach (we are limiting numbers to better ensure social distancing).

Morning Session

  • How to Start and Manage Your Missouri Interscholastic Team/Club
  • How to Recruit, Coach, and Work With Female Student Athletes
  • Sponsorship and Fundraising
  • Designing an Effective Practice Structure

Afternoon Session 
Choose from one of three options:

  • Running an Effective NICA Practice!
    These workshops will be conducted on the bike with the goal of adding to your coaching toolbox. Don’t forget your bikes and helmets and let’s have some fun!
  • NICA OTB 101.
    Coach Supporter Cody Jones will be on hand to train coaches who haven’t had the opportunity to fulfill this NICA Coach Level 2 requirement.

  • Basic First Aid and CPR.
    Missouri League Medical Coordinators Elena Friedman and Brit Phillips will be on hand to provide another opportunity to check off a NICA Coach Level 2 requirement. Class size is limited to 12 participants. Cost is $50.00

NOTE – If you are attending the Sunday Coach and Leadership Summit and doing either OTB 101 or Basic First Aid and CPR in the afternoon, you will have to register for two different events in Eventbrite.
